When I still lived back home, me, my sister and my mom had a little evening ritual, and looking back, it feels like a warm hug. We would make tea and sandwiches and curl up on the couch. My mom would read to us (Anne of Green Gables, Narnia, Harry Potter etc). When we got older we would watch a TV shows together, chatting and laughing during ad breaks.

I never stopped treating myself to this little evening ritual of tea and sandwiches, except now I do it with my husband. And I can’t wait to to read to our future children while we’re having our tea. Thank you mom, for filling my childhood with cozy evenings!
